Hello everyone!

Here is the blog that Emma set up. Feel free to post any experiences you have as you study the scriptures. Here is one I had just a bit ago - I shared this in my talk a couple weeks ago, so I apologize for those of you that have heard this.

A few weeks ago, as I finished my scripture reading, I turned to the front of dads Book or Mormon and was reading through some of the scripture and topics he has listed. He sort of has his own topical guide or index in the front. The second to last entry, in handwriting that at first I could not read, he has listed the word GRATITUDE and this scripture:

Alma 34:38
That ye contend no more against the Holy Ghost but that ye receive it, and take upon you the name of Christ; that ye humble yourselves even to the dust, and worship God in whatsoever place ye may be in, in spirit and in truth; and that ye live in thanksgiving daily, for the many mercies and blessings which he doth bestow upon you.

I love so many things about this scripture. But what especially stood out to me is that he was so week (it is so evident in his writing) and sick, and yet he chose to study about gratitude of all things. When he could have be bitter and angry - he was not, he was thankful! I am grateful that dad continues to teach me lessons I will never forget.
